I am a big fan of MC romances and this did not disappoint. I new to Jade Chandler and let me tell you, I will be back!!!

I was drawn into this story by the really powerful writing, I felt it all. This book made me emotional. You have two leads that have these horrible pasts and you can fill the pain when they reveal them to each other. 

I trusted Dare, I know that sounds strange, but I did. I knew he would keep his word to Lila, he would never hurt her. Their relationship starts out innocent enough "friends with benefits" we all know that never works, EVER. This story has some of the best and steamiest sex scenes in it, that I have read in a very long time. It is without a doubt very sexual and I thought it was delicious.
I really think the depth of the cast is going to play out very well in this series. You get a glimpse of a the MC members and I am very intrigued. Zayn, has my interest more than the others. I loved the friendship he showed Lila and I just know that is a bad boy under all the kindness he showed her. Bear had me loving him, he is funny and I loved that he took to Lila, although he wanted her to do porn! The group of friends Lila assembled were such a fun treat to get to know. I am ready for book 2!
This series has so much potential and I am dying to find out what happens next !

I did encounter one thing that makes this a 4.5 Clocks instead of 5. I am still confused as to what the heck Jericho was trying to do when he played with Dare and Lila. I am still lost a bit on that.
But this is a great story and I will be back for more!

I LOVE mafia stories and I feel that I have read enough to say, that I can be pretty particular about my  Boss, Capo, Cosa Nostra, Don's... you get my point. So I get irrationally thrilled when an author nails it and Scott Hildreth, does. He nails this so hard. 

I read this book in 6 hours, I could NOT walk way. I broke my reading rules, I let my kids go chase Pokemon', I just could not put it down. There is no pussyfooting around, we jump right in, Terra is in danger and is helped by a handsome stranger Tripp. Helping her out was easy, staying away from her and keeping himself focused is the hard part. 
Terra is smitten with her rescuer, she wants to know more about him. But when she digs deep and finds out his true career path, can she live with Michael Tripp being a Gun Runner?  

This is a sexy and thrilling read! There is just something about the way Mr. Hildreth writes a leading man. I want to say it's because he is a dude. He just gets it, he writes these manly men that we all want and Tripp, does not disappoint. He is blunt and to the point, he has no time for BS. An ex Marine who has a special skill set that may or may not make him a Bad Guy. 

Terra, well she is Mafia royalty and loves her family, just not their business. She decides she wants to get to know Michael, but not let him know exactly who she is. I was a bit put off by the fact that she got so angry with Tripp when she found out what he did for a living. Mad that he was less than truthful to her. Um, Hello sweetheart, you are lying as well !!! I mean I knew it was going to happen, because this is book 1. Honestly, I usually will not read a series until all the books are published... I'm a greedy gal... But when I saw a Hildreth book up for ARC review, well I HAD to have it.

For those people who say "men can not write a sex scene" you need to read this!! I found it so sexy and erotic. It was not nasty, it was very loving at times and animalistic at other times and HONEY, it all WORKS!!! 

The supporting cast I am thoroughly intrigued by, Cap and Michelle I am dying to see what happens between them. Michelle is my kind of girl! Cap, had me laughing so hard. His love of Netflix and basically all things TV, had me cracking up. He is a wise man and I am so invested in him. 

Book 2, is going to be a book that I will be feening for. I am so ready to see what is going to play out. So many variables, so many ways this could be played out! UGH, waiting is not my strong point.

I VOTE FOR JUDE TITAN!!! Wow, it takes a lot to really get me falling for one of our leading men. Sure I can like them, swoon over them and even put a face to the man. But Jude, well he is just so delicious and I crushing hard on Mr. Titan. He is a man of substance and I appreciate that. I was so happy that they didn't make him a complete slime ball politician. He stands for what he believes and will stop at nothing to get his voice heard. The authors made him very believable, his stance on the way veterans are treated in this country after they return home is certainly very relevant. The timing of this book is spot on, with a BIG election coming up, it really does make you think about what you want in a leader.   

Now, Reagan Preston...WHAT A SPITFIRE!  I really enjoyed reading about her. She believes in the government that she has served. Her father has prepared her for this her whole life, but nothing could have prepared her for Jude Titan.  She really wants to win, but is she in it for the right reasons? I found Reagan to he hilarious, the banter between Reagan and Lexi, her bff and campaign manager,  was so funny. I was cracking up! 

Reagan and Jude's attraction is instant and undeniable. The debates bring out a passion in both of them, the spark it ignites, is explosive. When they start to become friends you really can see how this could happen. They have much in common and yet, they are vastly different. Both believe in their causes and will stop at nothing to make sure they are addressed. Even a friendship is dangerous between Jude and Reagan...ruthless campaign managers, overbearing parents, OH! and of course that pesky "one is a Democrat and the other is a Republican thing"... there's that.  But denying it is far worse than acting on the attraction.  

Hot and steamy is a gross understatement!!!  Just wait until you meet Jude and Reagan... you can thank  me later.

What an amazing ending....or is it? I just finished A Bloody Kingdom and rushed right into my review. The thoughts running through my head have got be put to paper. This was EPIC!!! Is that word still a thing? Anyway, holy hell this was everything I wanted it to be. EVERYTHING!  

Was there really any other way that it could have went? You have these two people who do horrible things, although most of them deserved it... but still.
This story made me sob and I mean SOB. I sent the author a nasty message, I stopped reading it because I just knew something bad was going to happen to one of my beloved Callahan's. Never did I EVER think this was going to happen. I knew, Author JJ McAvoy was wanting to take this in the direction of the kids growing up, so I was expecting something BIG and well, she delivered...

I just didn't think I would feel so emotional towards Melody. I sorta hated her, when she started training the kids. OH! and what Dona was put through. OMG I hated Melody for that. Reading how it effected Declan and Liam, I was sure one of them was going to kill Mel. I wanted to!

Liam, you sexy beast have grown on me so much. I will always refer to you when I read other Mafia books. You will always be the BOSS I compare every other head of a family to. You are Ceann na Conairte, my Alpha Dog! No one will ever replace you.

Mel and Liam, they grew so much in this series. I believe this was handled perfectly by Miss. McAvoy.  We saw an arranged marriage become more than a business transaction, we saw an understanding form between them, neither one was more important than the other. Their mutual respect for each other was made clear throughout the series. But, their LOVE... their love for each other was so strong in Bloody Kingdom. I was a mess in the last 12 chapters! I cried for Liam, then I cried for Melody.  I LOVE THEM! 

I am excited to know what is going to happen next. I look forward to finding out what the kids are going to do in their  lives . I am very intrigues about what Ethan is going to do now that he is head of the mafia.... and that is all I am giving you ....
