We Only Have 'till Dawn....by Dani Lovell.... Reviews Kathy and Dawn.

-Blurb-

When New Years Eve doesn’t go quite to plan for Jaime, she contemplates turning right around and heading straight home, until a striking Australian relief manager attempts to twist her arm.

Will Jaime decide to do the sensible thing and say goodbye, imagining what might have been that night, forever? Or will she stay to experience a rare night of lascivious indulgence with a red-hot, sweet-talking stud-muffin?

The decision is easier than she thought.

So in a surprise for her readers Ms Lovell wrote a New Years Eve Short story. This is NOT a part of the Sexy Series we all know and love. This is a quickie for us. We love her for this and well for all her books. I have missed her writing and was thrilled to see a short story.

So we have Jamie who has to leave on New Years Day for a work trip, so she has decided to stay home and skip all her normal celebrations. This only works for so long with all of her best friends calling and messaging her to come out. After a slight mix up, She meets Jake.

HOLY SMOKING HOTNESS ensues....

“Is that so? And what exactly would you like to do instead?”
He sighed deeply, visibly relaxed into his seat and locked his eyes with hers. He tilted his head to one side as he began. “Well, I’d definitely like to kiss you again. That’s happening. But aside from that…” he paused again and dragged those sexy blue eyes from her face to her feet and back again, slowing at all the important parts to really take them in, as if he was looking at her with x-ray vision, his eyes burning through her clothes and focusing on what he imagined to be her beautifully tight and willing body, “I’d like to slip my hand inside your underwear and touch you until you cry out. I’d like to hold your breasts in my hands and slowly suck your nipples until my cock is so rock solid, I can’t take anymore.” His face and hands moved as he spoke, his eyes closing, really expressing his deep desire to execute these wicked intentions.

And on that note...This is a short story and is full of HOT HOT HOT stuff...You will not be disappointed. I was fanning myself after reading this. Since this is a short story I am just going to give it a full 5 OMG's ..... So run don't walk and read this quickie.....

Piggy backing on Kathy's review.. I wanted to add...

Ms. Lovell's books ALWAYS leave me feeling happy. I appreciate so much that we get a beginning, middle and an ending that doesn't leave us hanging! I don't care if her books are 600 pages, or 23 pages.... I AM READING IT!!!!!
Remember when reading this that it is NOT intended to be this world wind romance of ups and downs and happy endings... This is BOOM, a one night stand!!!...We've all had them or have wanted to. So keep that in mind before you judge to harshly.

BRAVO !!! 5 from me also!!!

Chasing Midnight by Shylah and Alex Morgan (A Darkest Desires of Dixie Novel).... Review by Kathy

Blurb-

Quinn Mason is a young Southern gentleman. Perhaps, gentleman is a stretch for how he lived his earlier years. He was the kid whose life seemed charmed, a popular athlete in high school who won a full scholarship. Life was on track for him until the death of his parents. In one terrible moment, Quinn went from having everything being everything for his young siblings. He left college, and used the money from his parent’s life insurance policy to buy a bar. The bar supported him and the kids, affording him the ability to give for them the life they were robbed of, even sending them to college.

Mhisery Bellemy has returned to Midnight, reluctantly. Her mother died, and she is left to take care of her drunken father, and the family cafe´. She had escaped the small town’s clutches as soon as she was of age, and swore never to return. Now, her siblings have turned to her, leaning heavily on her for help. The woman who got out of town and made a life she loves is now forced, by the bonds of family, and the weight of obligation, to return and give up what she had worked to build for herself.

These two are unlikely to cross paths, but chance throws them into the right place at the right time. Quinn’s brother is the catalyst that brings Mhisery into Quinn’s line of sight. And that’s all it took, one look and he knows he has to have her. The golden boy athlete is now drawn to the tall, tattooed woman stepping off the last bus into town.

Will Quinn ever have the woman he desires, and make her his own, or will she return to the life she loves far away from the small town of Midnight, and Quinn, or will she stay and make a life with the man she loves?

I received a copy for an honest review. Where to start....

I really did want to read this book. I admit the blurb grabbed my attention and made me want to see what was going to happen. The name of the female heroine was unique and I like unique. So I am gonna just jump in here.....I will try not to spoil to much but beware that some things will just have to come out....

So the basics here are that Mhisery left her small town to go to New York. She was invisible in her town and she wanted bigger and better things. She was living a wonderful life with friends and her art. She has a thriving business and is happy. She gets a call from her brother that he and their sisters need help with their Dad. He is not in a good place, and needs around the clock care. He is an alcoholic since they lost their mother to cancer. With taking care of him and trying to run the family diner, they are at their wits end. Something is gonna break and soon....So Mhisery does the only thing she can do and that is go back to Midnight.

There she meets, or meets again, Quinn who was her brother Caleb's friend in high school. She had a huge crush on him in school. He is now running a bar with his family. They started this after his parents died and he took custody of his siblings. Quinn knows that Mhisery's dad is a drunk. He has spent many a night taking him home from the bar.

Quinn and Mhisery start a friendship/relationship. Even knowing that as soon as the stuff with her dad is fixed she will be going back to New York. You also meet Chance, Quinn's younger brother and a huge manwhore. His sister Syra, who has an ongoing thing with someone. Oh and lest we forget Mhisery's stalker from New York.

Now that we know basics, lets get into what I liked and didn't like about the book. I am goinna start with what I didn't like first.....

I didn't like the changing POVs. Don't get me wrong normally I am fine with multiple POVs, however when they are changing on same page and going over the same material it doesn't work for me and I find it distracting. This happened with all the characters which honestly was very confusing at first. I didn't need to read the same kiss from both perspectives, this just distracted me from the overall stories. I didn't like the use of the "big college vocabulary" either. It took me out of the story several times. I would rather read the word lust than have to go look up CONCUPISCENCE. Why not say beautiful rather than PULCHRITUDINOUS? These are just examples from the book. Each time I had to go look up these words it irritated me and took from the flow of the story.

I also did not like that we are told on multiple occasions about how much he wanted her from the moment he saw her. Yes, I get it was Love/Like at first sight but to tell it over and over was again distracting to me. I had a hard time with things in the book, for instance, the first time there was a sexual encounter with the characters there was no mention of a clit piercing or an apa piercing but, later on it was a big deal that they were both pierced "down there" and how alike the characters were. Again this took me out of the story. I was not a fan of all the liquor that the main characters were consuming either. I get that he owned a bar, but drinking a 12 pack of beer and then shots on top of it is not normal. Having a beer or 3 and then shots daily is also not normal. I would have thought that since the heroine is watching her father kill himself with alcohol that this would have been a major issue with her but it seemed like she wasn't bothered with it. I have a really hard time believing that she would be okay with this though. And lastly, the first part of the book was really slow for me. That may have just been me trying to get used to so many POVs and the way they write but I'm not sure if i normally would have pushed to finish the book.
Not that I am not glad that I did finish it.

Lets move on to what I liked about the book. The basic story of Mhisery and Quinn was great. Their changing attitudes about love and life were real to me, The fact that she was set to leave no matter what and then everyday with his love she changed and realized that she could be there with him and build a life. He went from a man whore to a one woman man. He wanted her in his life and his home. He truly loved his siblings and was proud of them. He backed them up no matter what. He would do anything for those he loved. You also had Chance who fucked up his life but, was doing everything in his power to make it right. He was not willing to take a handout but worked his ass off to make the money he would need to go back to school and make a better life. His friendship with Alyssa, I found totally believable and was yelling at him and her both to get their heads out of their asses and move into a relationship. The brother sister dynamics in the book I found to be right on. I remember fighting with my siblings the same way and it made me laugh and have so many emotions. The scenes with the dad in the hospital. Those ripped out my heart.  The asshat stalker, he amped up so much for me and i wish that there had been more from him. I also loved the "Bubba brigade" Being a southerner that totally rang true for me. The characters in the book were well thought out. I do want to know what happens in the second book and will read it. I do want to know what happens with the secondary characters.
That being said. I was surprised that by the end I was overlooking the POV issues and some of the other things that disrupted the beginning of the book. I really didn't think I would like it as much as I did but, the last half of the book did flow better for me and felt like the authors had settled into the book. So my overall rating for this book is 3.5 clocks. I will be reading the second book, I need to know what happens to the rest of these characters.

About the author:
Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake. Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up.  And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Dawn's Review
I am a die hard KA fangirl. Always have been always will be. I sacrifice sleep and meals, just to finish her work in one setting.

I was so very excited to finally get Jacob Decker's story, I devoured it! This book is not as intense as some of her other works, but it still delivers the classic KA punch to the gut, that I crave.

I will say this was a much tamer book. I was expecting more from Deck, because he was such a force in Breathe. But not all books have to be written in the same "formula" if you will... Dealing with past issues that have clearly left Emme with some mental health issues, was something I was not expecting at all.  I can not say that she is one of my favorite leading ladies. She was sorta  too much to deal with at times and she exhausted me.
Decker, was a softer man and sweeter than most of KA's leading men. But I believe the direction this book was taking us on, he needed to be. He was perfect for Emme and he was just a different Decker than I was expecting, and that is on me, not the author.

I gladly recommend this book and this series to anyone who will listen. You can see the growth of characters and the different direction this series is taking. I just want my uber alpha men back.

This series is absolutely hands down one of my top 3 series. I just wish the intensity was kicked up a notch. I needed Decker to be move of everything.

Excerpts from Kaleidoscope

“Sometimes,” Chace started, and his tone was cautious, “girls like her, girls like she used to be who turn into girls like she is now, get a guy’s attention, a good-lookin’ guy like that, and they can go—”

Deck cut him off. “Chace, you know Emme. You know that’s bullshit. She’s always known her own mind. And she’s always been cool. Even when she wasn’t a knockout, she wasn’t that kind of person.”

“It’s been years, Deck,” Chace reminded him. “A lot of them. People change, and it isn’t lost on either of us she has in a big way.”

“Yeah, and I just met her on the street. I’m havin’ dinner with her tonight and she looks good, man, but she acts the same. And her man is a dick but he’s also a moron. So he’s no boss,” Deck declared and looked at Shaughnessy. “And you just got yourself a maverick.”

The mood in the room shifted. It had been alert. Now it was relieved.

Shaughnessy was the only one who didn’t want Deck stepping in.
The rest of them, after all they’d seen for the past few years, wanted this done, and they were willing to take risks to get that.
“Terrific,” Shaughnessy muttered, his eyes moving through the room.
“Decker, this needs to be discussed,” Douglas stated, and Deck looked to him.
“You want me on the team, we talk money. I’ll give a discount, see this shit sorted. I’ll want a full brief. I’ll want the entire file. I won’t take orders. I’ll keep you in the know of what I do and what I find. But, just sayin’, that woman means something to me.” He threw out a hand toward the whiteboard. “So even if you don’t put me on the team and pay me, I’ll still be seein’ her clear of this shit.”
“You can’t let her know we’re investigating her boyfriend,” Carole said swiftly.
“This isn’t my first rodeo,” Deck returned. “What’s goin’ down, I wouldn’t fuck your investigation. But she’s still clear and she’s clear in no more than a week. Not months. Not as long as it’ll take you to track this crew, the way you’re goin’, and stop their shit.”
“As contract to this task force, you cannot engage in illegal activities. We can’t prosecute with fruit from the poisonous tree,” Douglas told him.
“Again, not my first rodeo,” Deck replied.
“You have a crew or do you work alone?” Henry asked.
“This, I’ll be bringin’ in my crew,” Deck answered.
“They’ll all need to see me,” Douglas stated. “Contract is signed, you all work for my department until the case is done.”
Deck nodded and his eyes went to Chace. “Want a picture of that board, want the file.”
“Deck, not sure this is a good idea. You got a conflict of interest with this—”
Deck again cut Chace off. “This is Emme.”
“I know it’s Emme,” Chace shot back, concerned for Deck and losing patience because of it. “Until just now, I had no idea you’d react the way you have when you saw it was Emme. So Emme’s the goddamned conflict of interest.”
“You know her,” Deck whispered, also losing patience, and he watched his friend’s face. Definite concern but also indecision.
He knew Emme.
Chace went from the academy into Carnal’s Police Department and stayed there but that didn’t mean Deck didn’t spend time with Chace throughout all Deck’s travels. Chace had met Elsbeth. Chace had spent time with her. And with Elsbeth came Emme. So Chace had spent time with Emme too.
“Her change is remarkable, Deck,” Chace noted again. “That’s something to take into account.”
At his words, Deck felt the ghost of her fingers digging into his shoulder through his coat. Saw the dimple. Heard her call him honey.
And he knew her history. Elsbeth told him. He knew what she’d survived. He knew what made her what she was.
He didn’t know what made her what she was now, but he was going to find out at dinner.
Last, he knew Emme would not be a part of a crew who burgled homes across an entire county and recruited high school students to do it. Not for the attention of the likes Dane McFarland. Not for money. Not for power. Not for anything.
“She’s up first. I investigate her. Clear her. Then clear her of this shit,” Deck stated.
“You work that with me,” Chace returned.
“Suit yourself. But dinner with Emme tonight is just her and me.”
Chace studied him.
Deck took it then looked to Douglas. “You got a file for me?”
“It’ll be delivered to your house by three thirty,” Douglas replied.
“Contracts will be emailed to you by then. My crew will be in tomorrow at eight to be deputized,” Deck replied.
“You gonna be with them?” Douglas asked.
“Wouldn’t miss that shit for the world,” Deck answered, cut his eyes through the people in the room, noting Henry Gibbons looked amused, Mick Shaughnessy looked annoyed, Carole Weatherspoon looked reflective and Chace still looked worried.
Then he walked out of office, out of the station and to his truck.

I looked out my office window, down to the yard, my eyes to the bustling activity, and I did this tapping my phone on my desk.
I should be working but I wasn’t thinking about work.
I was thinking about Jacob.
More precisely, I was thinking about calling Jacob, had an overwhelming urge to do so.
I was also trying not to do so because I had a boyfriend, even though he was a boyfriend I wasn’t all that sure about. He was sweet, he was into me, but he was just… off.
Then again, I didn’t have a lot of experience so what did I know?
Additionally, after my dinner with Jacob last night, within an hour, I’d called him after ten at night and now it was only eleven thirty the next day.
I didn’t want him to think I was psycho, and calling him would imply psycho behavior. Further, when I called him last night, I’d asked him to dinner, which was dinner two nights in a row with a woman he hadn’t seen in nine years, a woman with a boyfriend, and that was semi-psycho.
Okay, maybe it was totally psycho.
I didn’t want Jacob to think I was psycho.
Ever.
But I wanted to hear his voice. I wanted to connect with him on the phone. I’d missed him and I liked having him back. I liked it a great deal.
I also missed him a great deal.
And I needed to ask him something. Further, he was the only one I could ask.
I looked from the yard to my phone. My mind telling my thumb not to do it, my thumb not listening, I found Jacob’s contact and hit go.
I put it to my ear.
“I’m a psycho,” I whispered and luckily finished whispering two seconds before Jacob’s voice sounded.
“You okay?” he answered.
He kept asking that mostly, I figured, because I kept calling when I didn’t need to so he probably thought something was wrong.
Or that I was a psycho.
“I need to know if you don’t eat anything,” I lied.
Actually, it wasn’t a lie. Although I remembered a lot about Jacob (most everything, in all honesty), I couldn’t recall if there was something specific he didn’t like to eat.
I could recall how beautiful he was, how tall he was, how strong he was. I could recall how smart he was and how funny he was. I could recall how cool he was with me. I could also recall how much I missed him. But I couldn’t recall if he didn’t like chicken.
But that wasn’t the only thing I needed to know. I needed to know something else too.
Much like last night, when he didn’t make me feel like a psycho, in fact, the opposite and sounded like he was happy to hear from me and would be willing to talk all night, he again sounded like me psychotically calling him yet again in a precursor to stalker way was no big deal.
“I don’t eat it, I’ll pick it off.”
“You can’t pick it off if I cook with it in it or if the mainstay of dinner on the whole is what you don’t eat,” I informed him.
“You makin’ Indian food?” he asked.
“No. Don’t you like Indian food?” I asked back.
“Love it,” he answered.
“Then why’d you ask if I was making Indian food?”
“ ’Cause I hoped you were.”
I burst out laughing.
No, Jacob definitely didn’t make me feel like I was being a psycho.
When I quit laughing, I told him, “Sorry, honey, I don’t know how to make Indian food.”
“Shame,” he muttered, a smile in his deep, attractive voice, and if I was on an infrared scanner, specific parts of me would have shown up hotter.
You have a boyfriend, Emme! I told myself.
For a while, I answered myself.
Jacob is also your ex–best friend’s ex-boyfriend, Emme! I reminded myself.
So? I asked myself.
I shoved those thought aside, thoughts that, if anyone knew I was talking to myself in my head might prove I was indeed a psycho, and pointed out to Jacob, “You haven’t actually answered the question.”
“I’ll eat what you cook, Emme. Cook what you like.”
He was such a nice guy.
He always was.
Nice. Tall (very tall). Handsome (unbelievably handsome). Smart (so damned smart). Funny. Interesting. Gentlemanly. And a repeat of nice because it was worth a repeat since he was just that nice.
I liked all that about him. I liked that he wore his dark hair way too long. I liked that sometimes a thick hank of it fell over his forehead and into his eye. I liked that he was who he was and didn’t wear designer jeans or put gel in his hair. I liked that, even considering he was extortionately intelligent, in fact, a genius, he never made anyone feel less than him because they weren’t as smart. I liked that he never acted superior or arrogant and with all that was him, looks, body, brains, he was one person who could. And I liked that he liked to do what he liked to do, he did what he liked to do and wouldn’t get pushed into doing something he didn’t want.
Like Elsbeth tried to do.
He’d lost her to that and he’d accepted it. I knew it killed. He’d loved her to distraction. But he refused to be the man she wanted him to be and instead was the man he was.
She should have seen she had it all even if he didn’t make bucketloads of money and thus couldn’t give her the life she was used to getting from her daddy. Country clubs, tennis lessons, vacations in villas in Italy and beaches in Thailand, fabulous homes kept by maids and fabulous meals cooked by cooks.
She didn’t see all she had.
Stupid.

I dropped my leg so I was sitting cross-legged in the couch and leaned into him. “Honey, you remember everything so I don’t have to remind you I haven’t seen you in nine years. I dig it that we reconnected and I love having you back.” I again threw an arm out, this time toward him and back to me. “This is great. You and me spending time together, shooting the breeze. I missed that. And I get it that friends make gestures, but this is too much.”
His eyes warmed during this speech and he took his arms from the couch, bent his legs, leaned into them, and me, and put his elbows to his knees, never releasing my eyes.
“Baby, I want you warm and liquid. The first bein’ physically, the second bein’ financially. You stop payin’ so much for heat, you’ll have more money for the rest of the shit you gotta do.”
This made sense.
But he’d again called me “baby.”
And I needed to address that.
So I asked, “What is that?”
His head cocked and his eyebrows drew together. “What’s what?”
I drew in breath and on the exhale, stated, “You calling me baby.” Then I went on quickly, “Not that I don’t like it. It’s sweet. It’s just not…” I hesitated, “us.”
Something happened to his eyes, his face, his whole big body and that something made me brace at the same time it made my heartbeat escalate.
“You know what it is,” he said softly.
I didn’t.
“I don’t,” I shared.
His eyes stayed locked to mine and I knew him relatively well, or I used to. But even if we hadn’t been separated for years, I still would not have been forewarned to the fact he was about to blow my mind.
“Before, we had Elsbeth between us. My head was fucked about that, about her, and it took almost a decade to get it unfucked. Lookin’ back, havin’ you back, I now know and I reckon you know, that’s the way it was. She was between us. She knew it too. And she didn’t like it. But it didn’t matter. My head was fucked so I couldn’t see clear of her and not doin’ that, I didn’t see you.”
I knew my lips had parted. I also knew my eyes got big. And last, I had no clue what to say.
So I said nothing.
“Now she isn’t between us,” he finished.
It was then I knew what the “baby” business was.
I just had no idea how to react to it because I never considered it. He was beautiful. He was kind. He was smart. He was funny and interesting and affectionate.
But he was my best friend’s boyfriend.
That didn’t mean my mind didn’t go there in vague ways, not stupid enough to wish for something I could never have, just silently covetous of what Elsbeth had. And, because of all that he was and that Elsbeth had it, in the end, infuriated she threw it away. Angry enough to end an important friendship because of it.
Sitting there, all that was Jacob, and all that being spectacular sitting across from me, holding my eyes, I finally understood that the reason I was angry at my friend was because, in throwing Jacob away, she took him away from me.
And now I had him back, but also, he was saying I’d always had him a different way, we just didn’t go there and he was going to take us there.
Yes. I had no clue what to say but my body had a clue how to feel. Warm and there were a lot more tingles.
“Jacob—” I started on a whisper.
But he interrupted again.
“You saw me, asked me out to dinner that same night, no fuckin’ around. Since then, you’ve called twice for no reason except to connect, and, baby, before you freak that I noticed that and what it said, I’ll tell you, I’m fuckin’ glad you did and I’m also fuckin’ glad about what it said. The boyfriend you were on the fence about, you got off the fence in less than twenty-four hours after seein’ me again and decided to get shot of his ass. And you didn’t waste any time gettin’ me right where I am tonight. That is not friends reconnecting. You know it. So do I.”
“I—”
“Don’t deny it.”
I shut my mouth.

In His Shadow (The Tangled Ivy Trilogy) by Tiffany Snow .....Review by Dawn

I LOVE THIS BOOK!
I was so happy that this story was such an amazing read. Ms. Snow has a knack for writing these characters that you just absolutely fall in love with. I. Did.

Ivy, wow talk about a leading lady that could very easily be damaged goods and just this bitter awful person. But she is not. She is lovely! She has such an awful horrid past, it was beautifully written, at the same time, so gut wrenching that it's pailful to read. You want the best for her and she ends up getting mixed up in something she has no control over.

Devon is just delicious. I loved his secret filled life. He gave away nothing, making him this gigantic mystery. He had a mission and he would deliver. That was until Ivy was thrown into the mix, unbeknownst to her. He saves her countless times. She sees Devon kill countless people. She is afraid of him... and he is even more afraid of Ivy.

These two work in so many ways, its just impossible to put into words. My god the chemistry... it was off the charts amazing! Clay is honest to Ivy about his future involvement with her and Ivy accepts it. Hey, whatever works for you, no judgement here!

I will say that the drama in this book is A LOT, but it works! Ivy is constantly in danger and Devon has to come to the rescue. But, not always... sometimes someone else has to step in, and that is starting to leave an uneasy feeling in Devon's gut.    Logan, Ivy's bestie and longtime savior is having a hard time letting go and I am hoping we get to see more of him, cause I think he is trouble! Just like Mr. FBI agent... he concerns me.... I really can't wait until we get more of these books!!!!!
This is an incredible, messed up, sexy as all get out adventure that Tiffany Snow has taken us on and I loved every bit of it!!!!!!!!!

I loved the ending... talk about someone getting exactly what they deserve!!!
I am not going to go into all the things that are against Ivy, and it's a lot. I just loved how she grew and how she found her strength. READ IT!!!!!

5 CLOCKS

Synopsis:
In the seductive all new eBook original serial from the New York Times bestselling author of Ruined and Addicted, a woman running from her past has finally found a bit of control . . . until her powerful new boss makes her go wild.

My name is Aria Winston. I’ve fought desperately to make my own life, away from the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. Now I’m on my own, in control of my own life and my own destiny . . . just the way I like it. Until Sebastian Caine changes everything.

Working as a cocktail waitress at one of Vegas’s hottest five-star casinos means putting up with a ton of bad behavior from the big spenders. But it pays the bills—and that’s all that matters to Aria as she needs every last dollar to escape from her father’s destructive grasp and the brutal man he expects her to marry. But when she lashes out against a billionaire who won’t take no for an answer, she nearly loses everything—until Sebastian, steps in.  The owner’s son and handpicked successor, Sebastian is dark, sexy and kinder than any rich, powerful man should be.  And when he apologizes and offers to keep her job safe, , Aria can’t help the way her body reacts to his. But if the way her body instantly responds to his touch is any indication, what Aria really wants is Sebastian.  Suddenly her job, and the security it brings her, isn’t all that Aria wants …

Play Me is an erotic serial intended for mature audiences. Aria and Sebastian’s story continues in Play Me: Hot.

Release Day Exclusive Sneak Peek at PLAY ME featuring a cameo with Ethan Frost from the NYT Bestselling RUINED and ADDICTED!

“What are you thinking?” Ethan asks after a minute and I’m just opening my mouth to tell him when there’s a sudden commotion at the door. I turn around just in time to see Aria burst through it, looking wilder and hotter than I’ve ever seen her.
She’s dressed in a crimson sundress that hugs every one of her curves even as it makes her olive skin glow. One of the straps has slid down her arm and her hair is a just-rolled-out-of-bed mess. But it’s a captivating look on her, one that has my mind flashing to about a million different things I’d like to do with her—all of which start with plopping her firm, lush ass on my desk and burying my face between her thighs. For hours.
I’m so distracted by the thought of making her come that I almost miss the upset on her face, confusion mixed with hurt and panic and fear. Once I get past her breasts and it sinks in, though, I’m off the couch and heading toward her in an instant. “What’s wrong, Aria? Are you—”
“Fuck me.”
I freeze in my tracks. “What did you say?”
“I want you to fuck me. Right now. Please.”
Ethan rockets up from his chair, shoots me a look that is half-amused, half-concerned. “I will take that as my cue to leave.”
The fact that Aria doesn’t even glance his way tells me all I need to know about her state of mind. All thoughts of Valducci and revenge disappear in my sudden worry for her.
“Baby.” I cross the last of the distance between us and pull her body flush against mine. “What’s going on? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong. I’ve just been thinking about what you said on the phone earlier and I want it. I want all of it now.”

Author Bio: Tracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where—and sometimes who—she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.
