Red Jack. Rude. Crude. Horny ginger mess. In love with… himself. Loki. Deadbeat. Volatile. Stalker. Terminally ill. Fatally in love.
When it comes to men, Red Jack has three rules. The guy has to be hot, out of town, and not up for repeats. It’s a good way to keep the gay flings far away from the eyes of his brothers in the Coffin Nails Motorcycle Club, and he will make damn sure it stays that way. When a hookup takes an ominous turn, and the sexy stranger turns up at his house, the heat is on. Loki invades his life and just won’t leave, wreaking havoc wherever he follows Jack, but getting rid of him becomes harder with every kiss.
The world crumbles around Loki when he finds out he has cancer. As if his life wasn’t shit enough already. With only a few months left, he decides to live to the fullest and get every last wish on his bucket list fulfilled. One of those is fucking the hot bearded biker he meets the same night he got the bad news. Big, confident, and dangerous, Red Jack is all Loki ever wanted in a man. After all, he deserves one last shot at love. Who cares if Red Jack is a stubborn, closeted asshole? Loki knows what he wants, and he won’t settle for anything less. Even if it kills him.
K. A. Merikan is the pen name for Kat and Agnes Merikan, a team of writers, who are mistaken for sisters with surprising regularity. Kat’s the mean sergeant and survival specialist of the duo, never hesitating to kick Agnes’s ass when she’s slacking off. Her memory works like an easy-access catalogue, which allows her to keep up with both book details and social media. Also works as the emergency GPS. Agnes is the Merikan nitpicker, usually found busy with formatting and research. Her attention tends to be scattered, and despite pushing thirty, she needs to apply makeup to buy alcohol. Self-proclaimed queen of the roads.
They love the weird and wonderful, stepping out of the box, and bending stereotypes both in life and books. When you pick up a Merikan book, there’s one thing you can be sure of - it will be full of surprises.
I stood in the doorway, surveying the bar and trying to pick Ms. True out of the crowd.
A woman peered up from her phone and looked back down.
Whoever she was, she was fucking gorgeous. She sat there with her spine straight, blond hair in a perfect bun, and a crisp black dress shirt tucked into a gray pencil skirt. Her high cheekbones almost kissed her deep-green eyes.
I wanted to saunter up to her, ask her for her number, and beg that on our first date she wear the red stilettos she had on, which made my cock instantly hard.
She glanced up, caught me staring, and waved me over.
Well, hell. Maybe she wanted my number too.
Keep calm and act natural.
Her eyes remained down, concentrating on her phone, as I approached.
“Mr. DeLuca, I presume,” she said, glancing up for a moment, her emerald eyes flickering. “Take a seat.”
Disappointment flooded me. The beautiful creature in front of me wasn’t calling me over to get my number. She was my new client.
“Ms. True?” I asked, letting my eyes linger on her legs for a little too long but not caring.

How do
you thank a person for such a great honor as this? You may not know this about
Scott and his writings, but he always pays homage to someone in each of his
books. They may not always be a main character and in some books there may be
more than one character.
In this
book, he chose to use my name and a few of my characteristics of my younger
years, (I am around Scott’s age, and no, I will not say exactly how old I am
*smiles*) and wrote one AMAZING, book. He worked hard on this book and I saw it
in him and I felt all he was doing for this book. It isn’t just about paying homage to me, there are other's in there as well. There are other aspects about this book he is bringing to the forefront. Breast cancer is one. Losing
people to cancer; bringing light to the fight of that horrible disease. Abuse is another. Scott always has something to think about in his books.
Yes, it
is an erotic story and it is a wild ride. Yes, my name-sake has some fun in
this book on that level. Yes, my husband knows all about this and we have taken full advantage of the fantasy. *grins* Thank you, Scott! My husband's name happens
to be in this book as well.
Just
remember, Scott did it for all of the RIGHT reasons. Enjoy the book. Scott is
one of the most talented, amazing, CARING people I know. But, YES, he is also a BAD ASS BIKER! So, there is that, too. You have seen him a little pissed when someone reports a pic for nudity when there is no nudity. Pissing him off isn't the best idea! lol I am blessed to PA for such a
person and to interact with him and Jessica on a daily basis as we team to do
what we do for his career. I love them both, dearly.
Bless
you, Scott and Jessica and family. I am truly blessed by you both.
Born in San Diego California, Scott now calls
Wichita, Kansas home. Residing in Kansas with his wife, Jessica, and five
children (and another on the way in November 2015), he somehow finds twelve
hours a day to work on his writing.
Addicted to riding his Harley-Davidson, tattoos, and drinking coffee, Scott can
generally be found in a tattoo shop, on his Harley, or in a local coffee house
when not writing.
Loyal to the fans, fan girls, and faithful followers who allowed him to make writing
a full-time career, Scott communicates with his followers on Facebook almost
daily. He encourages his readers to follow him on Facebook and Twitter.

I’m in trouble. Again. And instead of facing my problems head-on, I’ve run away. Far away this time, and no one can catch me—not my two younger sisters, Violet and Rose, not my father, my grandmother, or that witch Pilar who wants to take control of my family’s cosmetics company. Now I’m in Hawaii, enjoying the sun and sand and water, where nobody knows the hot mess known as Lily Fowler. And I’m loving every minute of it. But someone is watching me. Following me. He’s gorgeous. Soon we’re talking, and against all my instincts, I reveal bits and pieces of myself to Max. It feels good, though I know he can’t be the man for me. These sudden feelings we share are way too complicated, too fraught, too intense. Then everything explodes and I’m forced to return home. My intentions have always been true, but now everyone’s mad at me. I don’t know who to turn to anymore . . . except to Max. He’s the one I want to trust. But I’m not so sure I should. Maybe it’s worth the risk—what-ifs be damned. . . .
I have had the pleasure of getting to read all of the Fowler Sisters novels by Monica Murphy. I really like this series, each book is based on one sister and her journey to find love and her voice. Born into a life of privilege, there are usually two ways you grow up, you are determined to make a name for yourself , so you work hard and do everything right. Or you can take the route of Lily Fowler... She is a BRAT, spoiled, attention seeking and a trouble maker. But this time, she may have bit off more than she can chew!
Lily has intrigued me the most throughout this series. She would pop up in the other books with a smart remark and usually leaving in a hurry because she was in some sort of trouble or didn't want to be bothered by family issues. She does love her sisters very much, even if it is not always apparent. This time Lily, has used her "usuful" skills and found out things that have actually made her afraid for her life. But sometimes running away, leads to running into something you never knew you wanted...
Max... OH MAX! I really didn't think I would ever like another man in this series as much as I like Ryder. NOPE, Max wins hands down. He is powerful, protective and HAWT in his dominate ways. He is on the job and his job is to watch her and steal from her. But Max can not stop himself from saving her multiple times, he is just drawn to Lily. Can Max do the job he is hired to do? Or is his need to protect Lily too great ?
What really worked for me in this book was I finally understand Lily a bit better. She has a reason for her behavior, although she even owns up to her bratty ways, you get it. I absolutely LOVED the chemistry between Lily and Max.... I swear there is a scene in the last parts of the book, that could easily be one the sexiest things I have EVER read! I am not kidding. It is dirty and honest and I just loved it. I even highlighted it and posted it in a private group and the ladies were SWOONING! They are a fantastic couple!
What didn't work so well for me was the way Pilar was outed! She was in every book, and her demise, well it fell flat! I really wanted her to get nailed to that wall. I wanted to know more about The Fowler girls father, he was such a underused character. He was the reason Lily was doing the questionable things she did most of her life. She has massive Daddy issues, and they were brushed over.
This is a really good series and I enjoyed reading it!
I received this ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.
Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .
I totally lived up to my blogs name, I stayed Up All Night reading this masterful book. And once again I know it was coming... the end! Why do I sit and read every KA book in one setting? I know I am going to be sad when it over, I know I am going to have a massive book hangover, I know nothing is going to help my book funk for days.... BUT I do it anyway!
The Queen did not disappoint Ride Steady is brilliant! I have been on a "I want Rush's book" kick for what seems like years and I swear every time I hear we are getting a new chaos book, I pray for Rush... I get sad, it's not Rush... But then, she makes me so happy and I fall for the "new guy." And people Joker is no joke!
Trying to write a review of book you love is absolutely agonizing! I want to tell you everything and I simply can not! I really never thought another couple would ever dethrone Shy and Tabby as my fave Chaos couple but Joker and Carissa are just so incredible, but in a totally different way then Shy and Tab. There is this underlying sweetness that just makes this book so refreshing. It could have went to a very dark place but it didn't. She stayed true to the characters. Please do not get me wrong, there is angst but we are not kept in the depths of despair the entire book. There is a brightness to this story and made it impossible to put down.
I found myself laughing my butt off at the "girls night" adventure, just writing this and thinking about it, has me laughing. I love the dynamic of Carissa, Tyra, Tabby and of course Elvira. They just took her into the fold and hilarity ensues. The MC is pivotal in Joker's story. You get to see the men, his brothers take his back and give it to him straight, whether he wants to hear it or not. Seeing the club again made me want to go back and reread the entire series again, I missed those guys! I need to take a moment and recognize that my main man, Tack is back... I love that man irrationally and unconditionally. He just keeps digging his way deeper in my heart. He is amazing in this story. His presence in the final pages and what he says, I died. I teared up at the end of the epilogue ... that is how amazing this book is... from start to finish, brilliant!
The history of Carsen aka, Joker and Carissa makes the chemistry nothing short of explosive! It's HOT and romantic and just everything you want from KA. There are pop ups from some of our favorite characters from other series. I am not sure how she keeps them all straight in her head, and she still makes them as BA as they were in their stories.
I am not going to go into all the reasons you should read this book, YOU just should! If you are living under a rock and never read KA's books, you need to get on it, as soon as you humanly can.
5++++++++ Brilliant Clocks for Ride Steady, a Chaos novel By Kristen Ashley
I’ve never been one to follow the rules…or the law, for that matter. But when you find yourself behind bars and being offered the opportunity of a lifetime, you take it. I agreed to race motorcycles for Johnny Knight. A very powerful man who wanted me on his team, even knowing I was a liability. But will he still feel that way once he finds out that I had a one-night stand with his daughter? I didn’t mean for it to happen. I didn’t even know who she was until she walked into his office wearing my shirt from the night before. Too bad that was all she wanted—one night. It didn’t really matter who she was, I wanted more. So when she ran, I followed. I should have let her go. That would have been best for both of us. But I have never done what was right, so why start now? I’ve always been willing to take a risk, no matter what it would cost me. And I knew she was worth it all.
I’m Erik Dashling; you can call me Dash. This is my story of how I willingly risked one dream for another. But everyone knows that not all dreams come true.
"There are some particularly difficult scenes in this book, all I can say is that they were superbly written, poetic even, Shantel outdone herself in the delivery of the climax to the story, shell shocked would be how I felt..." ~ Book Hooked Brit
“Be prepared to fall in love with Dash, to melt when he brings out his cocky smirks and his sexy promises.” ~ Rosarita Reader (iScream Books)
"Such an emotionally heart stopping book. Loved it!" ~ The Smutbrarians
His face starts to
harden, and his gray eyes narrow as they search my face. He looks at me as if
he just realizes what my night has consisted of. A physical fight with Rodger.
Whereas, I’m sure he got drunk and laid.
I actually throw
my head back and laugh out loud. I laugh so hard my body shakes, and it feels
good. I lift my head and look up at him as he stares at me with those beautiful
gray eyes. They look hard as I watch his eyes follow the line of the stitches
that are on my face once again.
I throw my hand up
as I continue to laugh. He frowns when I snort, and it makes me laugh even
harder. “Sorry…” I try to calm my laughter; it makes my aching body hurt, but
it feels so good to laugh. “But this is just too funny.”
“Your ex-boyfriend
beating the shit out of you is funny?” he questions. “I don’t see how that can
be funny.”
My laughter dies
immediately. Instead of standing, I lean back against the bench and cross one
leg over the other. His eyes quickly scan my bare legs, and I feel my body heat
start to rise. No! Don’t go there, Tabatha. You regret ever sleeping with him,
remember? “No, the fact that you keep showing up is what I think is funny. The
fact that you think I wanna talk to you is funny.” Oh, good one. Make him buy
it.
“You wanna talk
about funny?” he asks raising his voice. “I have woken up to you running away.
Not only once, but twice. What the hell is your problem?” I take a deep breath
that makes my chest rise. Is he really
gonna do this? “And why was Rodger there after I happen to leave?” Oh, he’s
going all the way. “Huh? Did you call him to tell him how bad I hurt you?” My
mouth drops open. “Did you ask him to come over and kiss your wounds?” he
shouts.
I stand and shove
my hands into his chest pushing him backward. “Don’t you dare accuse me of
something you know nothing about,” I shout back. “You were the one who had just
been drunk and with your ex moments before. And you kissed her.” I do air
quotes around kissed. “Who knows what else you did with her.”
“I was just doing
what your father told me to do. Get information,” he says matter-of-fact with a
wave of his hand.
“Oh? And he told
you to stick your tongue down her throat?” I demand.
“No. His exact
words were to do whatever I had to do in order to get the information that we
needed.”
“Lies.” I spin
around giving him back for a second before I turn back to face him with my hands
clenched down at my sides. “All you do is lie,” I yell.
“And all you do is
run away,” he sneers in my face. “Not all of us are as heartless as you and can
just turn our backs on others at any given moment.”
I feel the tears start to sting my eyes, and I
blink them away. He truly hates me now, but this is not the time to fall apart.
After everything I’ve been through tonight, I can keep it together for just a
little longer. I swallow the knot in my throat and lick my dry lips. “Well, you
made it pretty damn easy,” I lie. He hasn’t made anything about us easy. It’s
so damn hard to stand here and be a bitch to him. My legs are tired, and I
would give anything for him to pick me up and hold me in his arms. But that
ship has sailed. “But I sure as hell can’t stand the fact that you keep coming
around.” Stay strong, Tabatha. Don’t apologize;
you can’t take those words back now no matter how big of a lie it was.
I expect him to
yell in my face for what I said. For him to shoot the hurtful words right back.
But instead, his hard eyes look me up and down, and he snorts as he shakes his
head. That hurts worse than any words could. He looked at me as if I was nothing.
He runs his hand
through his shaggy brown hair and speaks. “Well, I’ll make something else
easier for you. I quit.”
