A little Beach Reading....
So, I have been in this massive reading slump, this is not good for a blogger, nope not good at all! So what does one do when this happens? You take your sorry self to the beach!!! Well, I guess I should say "you take your family on a beach vacation!" Yes, I had to bring them along.
I normally enjoy sitting in sand and sun. Well as I am approaching 42 (I am fine with this... I think.) I am no longer the sun worshiper I once was. Now my routine is, read a little on the beach and then sit out on the deck surrounding the beach house and listen to the waves reading.
I have this massive TBR list that I have been trying to get to, with little luck. So, I was determined to knock some of those off the list this week. I am happy to report that YES, I did in fact read 5 books just for me. One was an ARC but it was short and really good! I started book #6 on the six hour drive home.
Here are the books and the synopsis for each one. They all are AMAZING . All of them are 4.5 to 5 Clock reads for me.

I was ordinary. Nice.
He was extraordinary. And he wasn’t always nice.
Moody and difficult, brilliant and beautiful, Kes scared me and he protected me. He could be incredibly hurtful and incredibly thoughtful. He wasn’t perfect, but he was perfect for me. He challenged me, he took me out of my safe little box and showed me the world could be magnificent. He was everything I wasn’t."

And the book I started on my "Beach Vacation is OVER" drive home
Sexy Love by Author Dani Lovell
Alexia Berkeley is a strong, powerful and independent woman who doesn’t need a man for anything. Well – other than a little light relief here and there, of course.
Sebastian Love has always flirted with her but other than the fine, professional businessman he manages to be when necessary, she knows what he’s like socially; a perverse, lecherous roué with nothing on his mind but female genitalia. Nothing could be further from her ‘type’, than him.
Could Alexia Berkeley have gotten Sebastian Love all wrong? She definitely seems to think so after a drink or two whilst letting her hair down with the girls, and his delicious, tattoo covered body certainly takes her into a new realm of naughtiness and desire. Will she abandon her rigid beliefs of decorum and correctness for a lasciviously thrilling lifestyle or will her life-long morals overrule?
