Temper Book 3 Knights Fury Series by Chantal Fernando........ Review by Dawn

Every year, the hot, tatted biker comes into Abbie’s bar, orders whiskey, and asks her out. Every year, Abbie turns him down. After all, dating a man that goes by Temper seems like a really bad idea, no matter how attracted she is to him.

But this year is different. Abbie’s different. Older, wiser, and tired of being stuck behind the bar in a sleepy town. This year, she’s ready for whatever adventure the sexy but sweet biker has in store for her.

Or so she thinks…until an elegant candlelit dinner ends with a dead body.

Now, Abbie finds herself on the ride of her life, whisked away to the big city in Temper’s protective custody. She should be scared but—despite his nickname—it’s clear the last thing Temper would ever do is hurt a hair on her head. And when danger catches up with them, Abbie soon realizes that holding tight to her man while straddling a Harley may be the safest place of all.

I LOVE THIS STORY! I just love the connection that Temper and Abbie had. The history they shared and the never giving up on Temper's part...just so swoon worthy.
I felt his anguish when he had to take drastic measures and kidnap Abbie. In a split second it went from a dream date to a nightmare.
I just loved the story telling and how the women rallied when they found out what the men had done. I loved the friendships that blossomed.  Her relationship with Temper grows and she starts to see that he is responsible for more than just riding motorcycles. I enjoyed seeing the ins and outs of the MC and of course their love story.
The twists and turns Abbie took, finding her father and finding out what he did for a living was a surprise that I did not see coming and I love when a story does that!
I really enjoy this series and can't wait to see what happens next.

Dawn's Review

I swear every time I read one of Chelle's books I say " Oh that was the best one yet," and of course I said that about Wildfire!!!
Tamara Gallo, is the wildchild that we have caught glimpses of in Flame and Burn. We know she and Gigi, never pass up a good time and trouble seems to follow them.  Gigi, has found her knight in shining armor, so now Tamara is on a mission. She shows up to the Disciples compound looking for a good time. With an invitation from Crow, she is sure he will be happy to see her.  Things do not go as planned for Tam, and the night takes a sudden turn of events when she meets Mammoth.
Tamara's smart mouth and witty comebacks and Mammoth's take no crap attitude, had me hooked ! They are explosive from the first moment. Sharing an instant connection and a heat that could not be denied. Could Mammoth do as promised and keep his junk in his pants? Or better yet, would Tamara LET him keep his zipper zipped? Thinking she was only in it for a one night stand, she was willing to let it all out and do whatever it took to "hit it and quit it."  Waking up the next morning ready for "one more for the road," Mammoth and Tam are given the news that the club has went on lockdown. Now stuck together getting to know each other, making it harder to just walk away from something they both may end up wanting.
This is where I completely fell in love with this story and we all know why... Enter Anthony and Max Gallo.  Finding out their daughter who has been missing and not answering her phone, is now stuck on lockdown with the notorious MC, leads to a tense exchange between Tam and her parents. I was laughing at that banter between the Gallo's . Max, holds nothing back and her daughter is very much like her. I LOVE THIS FAMILY!!!
Sometimes the instant connection between characters gets a roll of the eyes from me,but not Tamara and Mammoth. The way Chelle, weaves the conversation between these two is nothing short of spectacular. We get to know who these characters are and see the bond forming .
There is never a lull or slow spot in this one.  Again, we get to see all the Gallo family together and the hilarity ensues once again, until Uncle James comes strolling in and takes one look at Mammoth!!!! I will not give it away, lets just say "the plot thickens."
The supporting cast as always is fantastic . The cousins are such a welcome breath of fresh air. I love the interactions  between the "new Gallo's" and their parents. I honestly will never get tired of reading this family.

Tamara and Mammoth, are the perfect addition to this series!!!!

Where The Blame Lies by Mia Sheridan........5 Clock Review by Alexandra

Where the Blame Lies by [Sheridan, Mia]
Abducted.
Terrorized.
Imprisoned.

At nineteen-years-old, college student Josie Stratton was kidnapped by a madman and held
shackled for ten months in an abandoned warehouse before she finally escaped her hellish prison.

Eight years later, when the body of a young woman is found chained in the basement of a vacant house,
Cincinnati Police Detective Zach Copeland is instantly reminded of the crime committed against
Josie Stratton. Zach was just a rookie on the perimeter of that case, but he's never
forgotten the traumatized woman with the haunted eyes.

As more information emerges, the crimes take on an even more sinister similarity.
But Josie's attacker died by suicide. Does the city have a copycat on its hands?
A killer who picked up where the original perpetrator left off?
Or are they facing something far more insidious?

Josie has spent the last eight years attempting to get her life back on track, but now there's a very real
chance she could be the unknown suspect's next target.
As Zach vows to keep her safe, and Josie finds herself responding to him in a way she hasn't
responded to any man in almost a decade,
the investigation takes on an even more complex edge of danger.

As past and present collide, Josie and Zach are thrust toward a shocking and chilling truth.
A revelation that threatens not only Josie's life, but
everything she's been fighting so desperately to reclaim.

Review
Where The Blame Lies will shake you to your core!

This book made me fall in love with the power of healing. Following Josie through
her past trauma and seeing her transform into a strong woman is truly inspiring.

Zach, is the detective working on a new case that seems familiar . He is the kind of man
that will never give up on a case, especially one that has stayed with him as long
as Josie's has. As a new cop he remembered hearing about her story and
now as the lead Detective, the same thing has happened to another girl.
He is married to his work and with this case, he will not rest until someone is caught.
Zach, can't forget the girl from before and now he needs her as much as she needs him.

I had a physical reaction to this story. I felt for Josie, I felt her pain.
I had to set it aside a few times because I was so moved and my brain would not shut down.
It stayed on my mind and will stay with me for a very long time.

The Wives by Tarryn Fisher......... Review by Dawn

The Wives: A Novel by [Fisher, Tarryn]

Thursday’s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She’s never met them, and she doesn’t know anything about them. She agreed to this unusual arrangement because she’s so crazy about him.

But one day, she finds something. Something that tells a very different—and horrifying—story about the man she married.

What follows is one of the most twisted, shocking thrillers you’ll ever read.

You’ll have to grab a copy to find out why.

Review by Dawn

The only way to start this review is, what just happened? What did I just read? What....What the what?
I am still trying to wrap my head around this story. Buckle up baby, you are in for a ride.

This is where Ms. Fisher shines, her psychological thrillers and mind bending twists are where she is at her absolute best. The ride The Wives takes you on is nothing short of the tallest roller coaster at the amusement park. Prepare for the highs and lows.
Thursday, had me hooked. I was very vested in her mind set with her husband Seth. I was like "NOPE, never in my life could I allow the things he does." Saying Thursday falls down the rabbit hole of his life is putting it mildly. She decides that she needs to know more about what he is doing with his OTHER wives and his life outside "their" marriage. Thursday is ill prepared for what she is about to witness or is she?

I did love this story but I did have some issues. At times I felt like I was dealing with 10 different split personalities. I get it, there are multiple characters and layers to each of them. It just became a bit crowded at times. It was a tad bit predictable a few times.

I feel like the last half of the story was more on target. You get to see how quickly a situation like this can cause one to go into self preservation mode. The mind has a way of knowing just what to do to make it all seem normal.  And that last chapter... I WAS TOTALLY MIND F&UCKED.  I was not sure how the ending was going to play out between Regina and Thursday and leave it to Ms. Fisher, to give us what we all secretly wanted.

SEDUCED BY SIN: AN UNLIKELY HERO by Kris Rafferty .....4 clocks

Recklessly Ever After by Heather Ban Fleet.... 4 clocks

Recklessly Ever After (Reckless Hearts Book 3) by [Van Fleet, Heather]Gavin St. James

After the hell I've been through in the Marines—in life—there's nothing I crave more than routine, stability, peace. Until McKenna Brewer walks into my life.
She's impulsive, fiery, tempting as hell, and everything I don't need. But when she offers me a night of no-strings-attached passion, I can't resist.
When our night together has unexpected consequences, I can't help but think this might be the perfect opportunity to show McKenna just how much I want her.
The only problem? She doesn't do forevers. But forever is exactly what I need with her.

My Review

I really enjoyed this story. I may have enjoyed it more if I was in the mood for the ups and downs these two had in store for me, and it is A LOT.
Gavin, was endearing to me, His panic attacks made my heart hurt for him. Let's not forget that his past is unstable at best. He is a very private man and keeps his circle tight and settling down is just not something he has ever seen for himself.
McKenna, is living her tragic troubled life with no connections, other than her sister, she is living day to day and wants to keep it that way. NO commitment . But when she and Gavin have their moment... well for him it is on and for McKenna, it is going to take some work.
If you are a fan of push back books, you will love this. The push and pull between these 2 is enough that you are vested but not so much that it is tiresome.

I play to win, and I won’t let anything—or anyone—get in the way of what I want.
The first time I met Vaughn Sanders, I knew I wanted her. Confident, intelligent, and downright sexy. I thought I knew how to play her game. I was ready and willing for the challenge. Little did I know she was full of secrets and surprises.
But so am I.
Charming a woman into my bed has never been my problem. It’s the relationship part that is. They want it. I don’t. But can you blame me? Broken marriages are how I make a living. Hell, no self-respecting man would let a woman own his thoughts, invade his dreams, and steal his heart. So how in the world has Vaughn done that to me?
I’ve fallen in love with her. There. I said it. But that acknowledgment comes with a heavy price.
Everything and everyone seem to be working against us, leaving us both to question whether what we have is worth the cost.
I’ll be damned if I go down without a fight.

My Review

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY, READ THIS DUET! Read Resist first and fear not, the cliffy is picked right up where we last saw Ryker and Vaughn.
I am not going to lie, Vaughn can be a little tiresome with her stubborn streak, but this has served her well in the past. A misunderstand sent her fleeing from Ryker and her constant stubbornness and refusal of Ryker's help, went on a bit much for me, but it added to the angst in the story. Let's not forget that Ryker was a bit of a jerk, but his redemption is quick IMO.
We have flawed characters that soon became real to me and I was vested in each of their lives. Ryker, is a MAJOR ALFA and wants to help Vaughn  and she is close to her breaking point.
This is the perfect wrap up in a fantastic duet. Fall in love with Ryker and Vaughn, the drama, steaminess and love story that grows is so worth it.
