Beginning Forever, book 3 in The Prince's Bride Series by JJ McAvoy

With the fairytale wedding now over and the reality of their new roles placed on their shoulders, can Gale and Odette survive the sea of politics, family secrets, and scandal that awaits them? Can they still be true to themselves and their hearts? The whole country...even the world is watching and not everyone is happy for them. Beginning Forever is an extended novel that follows the first year of their lives after The Prince Bride 2

I was so excited once I realized that this was going more towards King Gale, because Odette was sufficiently dragged in the PB 2 (which is one of my top reads of 2020.) This story is special because they both are super present and you really see how they are trying to truly be husband and wife first, King and Queen second much to the dismay of some of their family members.
I enjoyed how we got to see glimpses of the "romantic" Gale, from his wooing days. This truly is a very romantic series and I love seeing an author being able to show her skills in different genres.
The drama shows up and we get to see a couple work through secrets, unintentional betrayal, the highest of highs,  and possible devastation. Only to walk out on the other side hand in hand.
I feel like this series is complete. I do not feel like anything was left open for additional books. Although, I would love to see Gale and Odette meet up with Dona and Gabriel at some sort of royal function. That would be an amazing tie in.
I would recommend this series to anyone who is looking for a sweet but angsty romance. The perfect Valentine's weekend read!
